June 11, 1971: Jason LeGrand is unleashed on the world.

Born in New England and raised in the Ohio River Valley, His family bred horses and enjoyed country music. A fairly shy child and teen, Jason picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen and hasn’t looked back. An eighth grade school play opened Jason’s eyes to the world of performing, which he pursued through the rest of his school years. Jason always seemed a little more at ease on stage than anywhere else. This led to performing in various bands, rock and roll mostly. It wasn’t until he settled back into his country roots that he really came into his own.

 In the early nineties, a job that required mostly road time didn’t allow for a lot of performing. The guitar strings got a little rusty, and Jason was forced to put the music on the back burner. Jason wasn’t happy… 

Off the road in 99’!

 It was acoustic duos for a while, Entertaining small crowds and building a small, but devoted fan base. Then, In Early 2003, Double Barrel, Jason’s first Strictly Country band, was formed. The return to Country was a long awaited relief. After experimenting with different styles of music in different situations, Jason knew Country was where he needed to be!

 Since exploding onto the Ohio River Valley Country scene, Jason has accomplished a great deal in a very short time, sharing the stage with such talents as Lonestar, Jimmy Wayne, Yankee Grey, Michael Petersen, and others. In late 2003, Jason won the three initial rounds of competition for Nashville Star, season two. Only fifty people throughout the country, who chose to audition in person, accomplished this.

Jason and the boys of Double Barrel defeated numerous other local acts at the Colgate Country Showdown in Cincinnati, crowning them the best Country act in the city! Now it’s off to the semi finals!

 Jason has never failed to accomplish the things he has set out to do. He doesn’t plan on starting now! Singer, Songwriter, performer… Standing 6’4”, and 205lbs, this lean, good looking triple threat has Nashville in his sights and won’t take no for an answer!
